Blackjack
THE GAME
Each player plays against the dealer, independently of other players.
Your goal as the player is to draw cards until your hand adds up to 21, or comes as close as possible without exceeding 21.
If your first two cards total 21, you have Blackjack.
THE RULES
If the total value of your cards is closer to 21 than the dealer's, you win an amount equal to your bet.
If your total is the same as the dealer it is called a Push.
In that case, you neither win nor lose and your bet is credited back to your account.
Blackjack pays out at 3 to 2 , so if you are dealt Blackjack, assuming that the dealer does not have Blackjack as well, you win 1 ½ times your bet.
An ace counts as either 1 or 11; face cards (Jack, Queen, King) as 10; and the remaining cards according to their numeric values.
If the total of your cards exceeds 21, you "Bust" and lose your bet.
A Blackjack beats a score of 21.
The shoe is made up of four decks, and is re-shuffled when 80% of the cards remain.
The player may split only once.
The player may double down after splitting.
The player may double down on any two cards.
The dealer only checks for Blackjack only if his open card (the one facing up) is an Ace.
SPLIT
If your first two cards are of the same value, you may split them into two separate hands, placing a second bet of equal value on the table.
You then proceed to draw cards as usual.
However, if you split two Aces, you get only one additional card for each hand.
If you split two Aces and one of your hands totals 21, this is not considered Blackjack, but 21.
You may split only once per round.
DOUBLE DOWN
When you have been dealt two cards, and think that one additional card will give you winning hand, you can " double down."
Your bet will be doubled, and you will receive just one additional card.
INSURANCE
If the Dealer deals the first card for the Bank and it is an Ace, the player can insure themselves against a possible Bank Blackjack;
to do so they place on the Insurance line a sum of money that is maximum half their initial bet.
If the croupier makes Blackjack, the Bank will pay out double (2x) what each player has bet on the Insurance.
If any other cards dealt, the croupier will remove all Insurance payments and continue the deal.
RULES FOR THE DEALER
The dealer must draw cards until he has at least 17, and must stand at 17 or higher.
If the dealer has 16, he must take another card.
The dealer may not decide whether or not to draw a card based on your hand, but must abide by the existing dealer rules.
BETTING
The player places a bet by clicking on the desired chip.
The wagered chip will appear on the Blackjack table.
The player can remove or lower a bet before the game begins by clicking on any wagered chip in the betting box to remove it.
BETTING LIMITS
Blackjack tables always have minimum and maximum bet limits.
The bet for each hand may be no lower than the minimum and no higher than the maximum.
